During the summer 2013 I shot several pictures, by means of an android smartphone without tripod, from the terrace of summer house in "Castelli romani" focusing two pine trees (due pini in Italian), that were standing out in the neighbourhood. I took those pictures in different daylight and weather conditions. I have published on Instagram a selection of this series using the hashtag #duepini_project.
Long since this subject fascinated me: the way their minimalism silhouetted on an always different background.
Finally I printed a selection of this series and framed it to create a unique artwork to enhance the walls of my home.
Unfortunately I could not continue this project in the following years: the two pine trees have been cut down in 2014 due to security issue.
